Garden of Rose Restore treatment
After a particularly busy few weeks I thought this super-relaxing floral-scented full body massage which targets dehydrated, dull tired skin sounded just the ticket.
After a thorough consultation, I was handed a pretty tissue flower infused with British Botanical Mist – a powerhouse blend of soothing Lavender, Chamomile and uplifting Palmarosa and Geranium – to help me start to unwind and de-stress.
A relaxing foot massage was followed by a full body massage. Warm scented British Botanical Body Oil was drizzled indulgently over me to nourish and hydrate my skin, followed by a nurturing Rose Balm, as the therapist used sweeping rhythmical movements to massage me from head to toe increasing blood and lymphatic circulation.
I could feel the tension melting away as she massaged first one side then the other, my back, hands and arms before moving to my neck and shoulders and finishing with a deeply relaxing head massage.
A micro wrap finished the treatment to ensure my skin fully absorbed the precious oils. Duly quenched, my skin felt exquisitely moisturised, intensely supple and delicately scented. I felt so relaxed I was almost nodding off.
A trio of roses are blended with nourishing oils to create this superbly nourishing body oil which melts into the skin and envelops the body in a stunning aroma:
- Rose essential oil fights dryness and dehydration ensuring your skin is soft, moisturised and dewy.
- Rose hip seed oil, an excellent source of essential fatty acids, helps promote cellular development and collagen synthesis to keep skin smooth and supple.
- While beautifully scented rose essential floral wax softens and comforts your skin, restoring elasticity and tone.
This trio is blended with UK poppy seed oil which targets free radicals. Naturally rich in calcium and omega 6 fatty acids it has been shown to significantly improves skin firmness, hydration and elasticity.
Lilac’s verdict: This treatment is a sensory experience for the body and mind. It is so calming, especially with the stunning rose aromas. I felt so relaxed afterwards and my skin was much smoother and dewier – it’s a perfect treatment for a youthful, radiant glow.
Hot Mineral Body Boost treatment
A few weeks later I tried the Hot Mineral Body Boost body treatment; a minerally-charged energy boosting massage designed to ease muscular pain, remove toxins, balance the metabolism and condition the skin.
My treatment began with a spritz of invigorating Ocean Spa Mist to re-energise and re-balance.
My therapist then used refreshing Ocean Spa Body Oil which she told me contains Laminaria Digitata which is rich in magnesium and manganese – both known to relieve muscular cramps and aches.
A soothing, full body massage followed with silky Amber Body Balm. This balm is especially formulated to promote optimum skin health and is enriched with succinic acid to boost skin function for a renewed and revitalised body.
My therapist incorporated Lomi Lomi massage techniques into my treatment – a traditional Hawaiian massage to restore energy and soothe the body. It works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes and I felt like I didn’t have a care or muscular knot in the world.
