Our brand new Alva Street location opened in March 2023 (previously on William Street) is in the heart of the West End, one of Edinburgh’s hidden gems, surrounded by independent boutiques and bars – ideal for a spot of shopping or lunch with friends after a pampering beauty session. The distinctive spacious salon is on 2 levels and offers a nail bar and beauty treatment rooms as well as a relaxation room.
Our experienced friendly team of Elemis therapists just love to put the ‘treat’ back into treatments and offer the latest anti-ageing skin care from Elemis, NovaLash extensions, Reflexology and Massages as well as beauty essentials for both men and women.
Manicures & Pedicures
From a quick file & polish to a super luxurious Paraffin Wax Manicure & Pedicure we offer a wide range of options carried out in our private Manicure & Pedicure suite. With 3 nail stations and 4 pedicure stations its perfect for a visit with a friend. We offer IBX Nail Repair for a conditioning keratin treatment for damaged nails and soak off gel polish using Nails by Mii. Struggling with hard skin? Book in for a Callus Peel, available as a stand-alone treatment or as an add-on to a pedicure to leave your feet soft and hydrated.
Massage
Our team are highly experienced in a wide range of massage treatments including Relaxation Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Indian Head Massage & Reflexology. Looking for something different? Try our Signature Massage that starts with a foot scrub and body brushing before you are massaged from top to toe with our own massage candles, leaving the skin hydrated and beautiful fragranced.

Our expert team of therapists are trained in Elemis & Image facials. For more than 35 year Elemis have offered some of the most award-winning, ultra-indulgent face and body treatments. Sleeping Beauty Alva Street offer the hands-on Elemis treatments alongside the Biotec range utilising six technologies to supercharge the facial results.

Eye Treatments
We love lashes! For low maintenance we recommend our Lash Lift & Tint. Great for holidays & special occasions it makes the lashes look longer & darker and opens up the eye. For something more dramatic we also offer Eyelash Extensions. (For tinting/lash lift & extensions a patch test is required in advance).
Brows needing a tidy up? We offer waxing & threading along with a complete Brow Redesign for those needing a reshape and Brow Lamination. The treatment gives a uniform shape by making all the hairs go in the same direction, giving a fuller, thicker look. If correct aftercare is followed, brow lamination lasts for up to 8 weeks.

Threading, Waxing & IPL (Intense Pulse Light) Permanent Hair Reduction are all available at Sleeping Beauty Alva Street. We offer Waxing Packages including waxing with a super gentle hot wax which is ideal for sensitive areas.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a foot massage treatment incorporating pressure points that mirror the body’s key systems. We offer 3 options including a full pedicure finished with a luxurious Reflexology session. The ultimate pampering experience!
Male Grooming
Most of our treatments are unisex but popular with our male clients are Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Image Enzyme Peel, Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial, Callus Peel, Maintenance Pedicure & Maintenance Manicure.

Our Alva Street Salon is within easy walking distance of Haymarket train station and very close to the West End tram stop. From the centre of Edinburgh walk down Princess Street towards Shandwick Place. At Shandwick Place turn right on Stafford Street and then right onto Alva Street. There is limited Pay & Display car parking nearby.
