Q&A

We asked beauty therapist Shannon Docherty 'How often make-up should be replaced?'

Mascara should be replaced after 3 months because transferring the wand back and forth from the tube, creates a risk of bacteria forming.

Eye liners/pencils will last slightly longer. It is also recommended to sharpen each time of use to keep them clean.

Lip products tend to last considerably longer, approximately a year.

Where foundations and concealers are concerned, they generally have a life span of 6 months.
Loose and compact powder, blusher and eye shadow all last for about 1 year.
Lastly, make sure you clean brushes and replace sponges regularly.
